ADSL

ADSL is an acronym for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, the type of DSL line which is commonly installed in residences. In this form of DSL, the download speed and upload speeds are different. For example, you can commonly get a line speed of 128KB/second upload, 1.5MB download. This means web surfing is very fast, but uploading files to an FTP site is quite a bit slower.
