Zork

In the late 1970's (1977 through 1979) a group of students at MIT created the second of the great Interactive Fiction games. This game became exceptionally popular and was ported to a multitude of computer platforms, especially after it was converted to FORTRAN and C (this version was named DUNGEON). The game later became the basis for the Infocom series called Zork, one of the most popular and fun games ever created.
